Fear Not

Updated: Jan 12

Have you ever felt like your world is falling apart? That the things you thought were true, weren't? Have you felt the chaos of fear trying to invade your life? Thankfully when we abide in Jesus, fear—or any other attacks from hell—can't control us.

I recently found out the most devastating news of my life. I have never felt so alone—so hurt or betrayed. I thought my heart was going to break. All the hurt of my horrid childhood was nothing compared to this. I will spare you the details. God has given me so much compassion now for people in similar situations. What have I learned? God doesn't want us to be afraid. He wants us to trust Him."Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil..." Psalm 23:4

I am praising God because He has surrounded me with His grace — His peace and love. He is holding me. He will hold you too—even through the darkest storms. "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine." Isaiah 43:1 Isn't that amazing? The God of all creation says we are His. Such incredible love.

The enemy of my soul meant this for my destruction, but God is faithful and will not allow me to be broken. He will not allow the enemy to break you either. Fear not. We have nothing to fear as long as our trust is in God. "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? " Psalm 27:1 You aren’t required to be in charge. You don't have to see the future or know all the details. Trust God to lead you. Let Him have control of your life. If I can have God’s peace in the midst of this horrible situation, I want to encourage you to trust God to keep you no matter what. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:1

I am not sure what the future looks like for me — but I am trusting God will lead the way. The floods will not overflow me. They won't overflow you either. No matter how horrible the situation, you can trust God to hold you. Don't look at the deep floods. He won't let you drown. He loves you. "Have I not commanded you, Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 Blessings, Beloved of God.
