"Who may abide in your tabernacle? Who may live on your holy mountain?
He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart." Psalm 15:1, 2
What is God saying to us from this passage? Listen—His Word speaks. I hear Him saying there is no way I can entertain sin and be in right standing with God. He requires holiness. Purity. But how is that possible?
How can we have clean hands and a pure heart? How can we be as innocent as children? We can't—unless we abide in Him and He in us. Without Him we can do nothing—nothing of any eternal value. We can never be perfect—we will never walk uprightly—never work righteousness—never speak the truth in our hearts without God’s enabling and the empowering of His Holy Spirit.
There's nothing we can do but accept the forgiveness freely offered in Christ and ask Him to create clean hearts in us. He wants us to become as innocent and trusting as little children."...Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven".
