Truth ~ Guest Blog by Mark Cahill

Updated: Jan 10

Truth is not only a major component of life, it is the foundation of life. Without it, we have nothing. Once we know what truth is, then we base our thoughts, assumptions, and decisions upon that truth. But we live in a world that doesn’t want to teach that right and wrong exist, unless, of course, you disagree with what someone thinks! If right and wrong are not taught, then how are we going to find truth, let alone live by it. “Take note of the obscene media double-standard when it comes to protests. Media smeared and slimed peaceful lockdown protestors in Michigan. But when it comes to the looting and violent riots in Minnesota, where masks and social distancing are non-existent, the media is silent.”https://twitter.com/seanmdav/status/1265993140424638464

"So justice is driven back,

and righteousness stands at a distance;

truth has stumbled in the streets,

honesty cannot enter.

Truth is nowhere to be found,

and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey."

Isaiah 59:14-15

So is protesting in America okay or not? Or, is it only okay when the media says it is okay? I will ask people if more white people or black people are shot and killed by the police. The answer is almost always black people. Did you know that answer is actually incorrect?

https://www.statista.com/statistics/585152/people-shot-to-death-by-us-police-by-race/ So why would people give the wrong answer? Something has influenced their thinking. What caused them to give the wrong answer to that question?

Omitting the Facts ~ This is how someone gets deceived. If someone tells you part of the truth but not all of the truth, then they are deceiving you. If they omit certain facts, then you might come to a false conclusion.

James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence during the Obama administration, is one leader who has been warning us about Russian collusion and interference in the Trump campaign. Well, he was the DNI. If anyone has the “goods” on someone, it is probably him. He saw most of our nation’s secret intelligence information. But then, Mr. Clapper made a very interesting statement while he was under oath. He told the House Intelligence Committee that he “…never saw any direct empirical evidence that the Trump campaign or someone in it was plotting [or] conspiring with the Russians to meddle with the election.”

https://nypost.com/2020/05/11/obamas-top-brass-contradict-statements-about-collusion-under-oath/ Well, wait a minute now. All we have been fed for over three years is that there was collusion or interference. But then the head guy says under oath that there wasn’t any direct evidence of collusion? Well, why didn’t he say the same thing publicly when he was not under oath? Hmm. . . Was he purposely leaving out that key piece of information to mislead the American public? Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17

PGod Cannot Lie ~ Sometimes in life, you just need a different perspective. And the perspective we should be racing toward is God’s perspective. He does not lie and cannot lie. It is not part of His character. It is not part of His being. It doesn’t even cross His mind, if you think about it.That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Hebrews 6:18

So it is pretty obvious that we need only one thing during these days of disinformation and deception. And that one thing is truth. We need truth, and we need copious amounts of it. There is one place, and one place only, where we can find rock-solid truth for life today and for all of eternity: God’s Holy Righteous Word! We call it the Bible. Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Proverbs 30:5,6

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalm 12:6,7 The goal in life is to find eternal truth and act upon it. It is really that simple. We live in a time when it is harder and harder to find truth. So, a good thing to remember is to take your time. You don’t have to be the first one to tweet or email about something. Sit back. Study. Try and get both sides of the issue that people are talking about. Follow the evidence as you find it. You might like where it goes or you might not like where it goes, but follow it.

Never be one of these people: Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 3:7 Investigate to find truth. That is the point of learning. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

Have you got truth? Have you got eternal truth? Then speak your mind. Stand up. Speak up. Don’t shut up. People need to hear what you have to say. Until the Nets are Full of Truth.www.markcahill.com (Printed with permission) I pray you will walk in truth. Blessings, Beloved of God.
